Selce

Is located in a picturesque cove on the north-eastern edge of the Kvarner bay, 35 km south of Rijeka, on one of the most natural, diverse and picturesque parts of the Adriatic coast and even the entire Mediterranean. Throughout the last one hundred years it has become an attractive tourist destination. The mild climate with more than 2,500 hours of sun annually, an average summer temperature of 25°C, and annual average of 14°C ensure a pleasant stay during all seasons. The clean air and clear blue sea with an average summer temperature of 23°C, bathing season from May to October, and modernly landscaped beaches that have for years been awarded the Blue flag are a guarantee of a pleasant and fun summer holiday.

1894

First public beach opened

The first public beach was opened back in 1894, which is considered the beginning of organised tourism.
2000

Regata Selce Open

From the year 2000, the Regatta has been listed in the official calendar of the Croatian Yachting Federation. The pleasant ambiance of the Selce port and good business organisation are a guarantee of a well-spent vacation under sails and at the waterfront. It is an opportunity for sailors and guests interested in sailing to visit Selce and together with their hosts enjoy the charms it offers.
2002

Selce awarded the “Blue flower”

In 2002, Selce was awarded first place in the competition of the Croatian Tourist Board “Blue flower”, as the most well organised tourist locality on the Adriatic.
